Welcome! We’re Chris and Tim from Dellevart Adventures and we are on a motorcycle world tour which we started in 2023 in South East Asia. We created this website to make your journey to Thailand smoother and more enjoyable than ours was! Why is an FVP Needed?
One of the key requirements for bringing your motorbike or vehicle into Thailand is obtaining a Foreign Vehicle Permit (FVP) prior to arriving at the border. This is needed to get your Temporary Import Permit (TIP). If you arrive at a border without an FVP, you will likely be requested to leave your motorbike or vehicle at the Thai border until you secure the necessary FVP – sometimes up to 10 days.
To make things even easier for you, we’ve teamed up with a licensed Thai Travel Agent who knows the ins and outs of the permit process. We have developed an easy online application system that lets you apply for your Foreign Vehicle Permit (FVP) before you arrive in Thailand.
